Life is rough

So much has been going on lately. I started posting something about Christmas, but wasn't even able to sit still 10 minutes to finish it. Pathetic, I know.

Christmas was fun when we went to visit my parents. Weather was fairly nice, and it was fun scraping ice in the morning, then flying home and wearing shorts and using the AC in the afternoon. Had fun playing with my nephews, and it was fun to call Devon "Biscuit" all day. His 6-year old mind couldn't take too much teasing though, so we had to stop calling him Biscuit after a couple of hours.

Devon's birthday is this week, and I found him a Transformers outfit to wear and the last Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle minimutant toy for his birthday.

Work has just been insane since I got back in early January. I haven't had any free time. And to compound the problem, I've had some serious eye problems come up in teh last 3 weeks. My eyes feel like they are constantly scratchy and sore and tired and light sensitive. Feels like I have sand in them all day long. The doctor hasn't been able to help. I'm on so many different types of eye drops and it's not helping. He finally told me I needed to see a specialist's specialist, so I have an appointment with an eye surgeon next week. It seems an eternity away, even though everyone tells me I'm lucky to get in so soon. Bleah.

So for the last week or more, my evenings are limited to sitting on the couch and half-watching tv while putting a compress on my eyes. I can't drive at night because my night-vision is shot. Needless to say, this has not been very much fun, espeically when combined with the stress of work.

Daniel has been wonderful at keeping me stable and positive through all this. I can't say enough how happy I am to have him.

If you read this, take a moment to say hi. I could use some cheering up. :)
