Declan's Standing Up and A Pool Trip

So now my little guy can stand up all on his own. He doesn't need to crawl to a wall or a convenient pant leg to steady himself and stand up. He just gets into a squat or on his hands and feet, then pushes himself upright. Hurray! Before long, I think he'll actually be running.

Sunday we went to the pool for the first time since we've lived here. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice it was. It was COLD, though. Brrrr! At first, Declan wasn't sure if he'd like it or not. I don't think he was happy with it being so cold either, until he got used to it. At first, he was content to stand on the first step in the water and splash, or lean up against Daniel or me. After 10-15 minutes, he was comfortable enough that I could walk backward and drag him through the water, still upright. We didn't try and tackle floating. I figured it was enough to get him used to being in the water for the first day.
